about

"The use of the traditional ikat technique (binding skeins of silk to resist color before dyeing) has led me to binding a visual memory of a moment in the sky onto thread.

"Time, light and color continually shift in the expansive Southwestern sky. This shift lends itself to abstraction. Weaving the interaction where warp meets weft becomes an emotional response to visual memory."
